About the role

As Head of Business Systems, you’ll take the reins of Zellis Group’s core corporate platforms, the systems that keep the business running day in, day out (ERP, CRM, HRIS and more).

This is a highly visible, high-impact role where you’ll sit at the intersection of technology and business. You’ll partner closely with IT Strategy, Procurement and functional leaders across the Group to translate business needs into scalable, reliable technical solutions.

Your mission is to ensure our systems are stable, seamlessly integrated, and continually evolving while bringing structure and ownership to the entire corporate application landscape, from mission-critical platforms to smaller tools across the business.

In this role your key responsibilities will include:
  • Owning platform strategy and roadmaps: Set the vision for ERP, CRM, HRIS and adjacent systems by defining clear outcomes, measurable value and a roadmap that drives business performance.
  •  Running stable, high-performing services: Deliver platforms that are reliable, secure and easy to use with strong governance across availability, data integrity, releases and change.
  •  Connecting the ecosystem: Shape and govern how systems integrate (APIs, iPaaS, eventing), reducing complexity and technical debt while ensuring consistent data and joined-up processes.
  •  Embedding a product-led operating model: Introduce best practices across backlog management, service design, and change/adoption ensuring systems evolve in line with business needs.
  •  Optimising vendors and licensing: Own supplier relationships end-to-end by driving performance, controlling costs and ensuring we get maximum value from our technology partners.
  •  Driving demand and prioritisation: Bring clarity and transparency to how work enters the portfolio, partnering with Finance and BRMs on planning and prioritisation.
  •  Simplifying the ‘long tail’ of systems: Create a pragmatic framework for onboarding, managing and retiring smaller business tools enabling flexibility without losing control.
  •  Tackling shadow IT head-on: Identify duplicated or unmanaged solutions across the business and bring them into a coherent, governed ecosystem.

Skills & experience

  • Proven leadership across complex system landscapes: Experience owning and evolving multiple core platforms (such as ERP, CRM, HRIS), with a clear track record of delivering tangible business impact.
  •  Strong product and service ownership mindset: You bring depth in product management, service delivery and integration governance with the ability to balance long-term strategy and day-to-day execution.
  •  Exceptional stakeholder partnering: Comfortable operating at senior levels, you build trusted relationships across Finance, HR, Commercial and Operations to align technology with business goals.
  •  Commercially astute and vendor-savvy: Skilled in managing suppliers end-to-end, from performance and negotiations through to licence optimisation and value realisation.
  •  Experience in complex, fast-paced environments: Exposure to PE-backed or multi-entity organisations is a strong advantage, with an understanding of the pace, governance and transformation challenges they bring.
